What is HonorHerVoice?
Honor Her Voice is a platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of women in America today. Through interviews, films, photography, and digital media, we document the evolving landscape of women's rights, capturing the experiences, struggles, and resilience of women, especially women of color.
But some things can't wait for a finished film or a polished interview. “Samaya’s Voice” is where that record meets the present tense, my own essays on what's happening right now, written in real time, as I'm living through it alongside everyone else.
In a time of rapid change, we ask: What does it mean to be a woman in America right now? The stories answer that question through other women's lives. The essays answer it through mine.
This site is also a resource hub, educational tools, organizations doing the work, and ways to take action. Whether through advocacy, education, storytelling, or simply listening, Honor Her Voice is about fostering conversations that matter.

About Me
I’m Samaya Sayana-Manchanda, a 18-year-old photographer and student based in Los Angeles. My work focuses on capturing stories that often go unheard, particularly those of women navigating the complexities of identity, culture, and rights. HonorHerVoice was born from this passion and from something my photography teacher has always told me: honor your voice. Those words have shaped the way I approach storytelling, pushing me to listen, document, and share narratives that deserve to be seen and heard.
HonorHerVoice is a space for truth, dialogue, and change. Thank you for being part of it.
